Are You Honest With Yourself?

How often are you truly honest with yourself? It is so easy to either blame others or lie to ourselves when things don't turn out how we want them. Whether we have personal or financial struggles, sometimes choosing logic over emotion is the key to overcoming.    Here are 10 great quotes that will help motivate us to look at our problems more open and honestly.   I don't want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them. -Oscar Wilde   Don’t cry about money, it never cries for you. -Kevin O’Leary   Honesty saves everyone’s time. -Anonymous   Life is hard, money doesn't care, your tears don't...

Is Fear Holding You Back?

Have you ever thought about what truly motivates you?        Recently, I was reading over my journal entries and found a recurring theme that scared me. It seemed like each day I would write down my goals, but week after week, month after month, I wouldn't get any closer to reaching any of those goals I had set.        As I kept on reading, I noticed this overall tone of fear was everywhere. How to Overcome Any Obstacle

Aaron Fotheringham has always done the impossible. From the day he was born until now, he continues to defy what others see as impossible. Born with spina bifida and given up for adoption, he was told by doctors that he wouldn’t be able to live a normal life. Aaron lives a life that is anything but normal. When he was a teenager his brother and father took him to a skate park where he would learn how to do jumps and tricks with his wheelchair. After continued practice, he got so good that kids started calling him Wheelz. At age 14 he did his first backflip. Then at 18 he landed a double backflip. Most recently, he has been busy touring with...

4 Ways to Become Your Best Self

1. What is holding you back?   Identify the things in life that are holding you back. It could be food, a relationship, money? Take time to sit down and write these things out. Develop a plan on how to overcome these things. When we have the courage to look our problems face on, they tend to have less power over us. As hard as it is to be brutally honest with ourselves about faults and weaknesses, unless we confront them we can't ever change. Accountability to ourselves is the first step.   2. "Comparison is the thief of joy" Theodore Rosevelt.    With this step, we need to fully commit to ourselves. Discipline yourself to stop looking at other people's accomplishments wishing we had...
